Squid skin explained
A wonderful video using animated simple illustrations to explain some of the science behind the squid’s (Loligo opalescens) remarkable ability to alter its skin pigment and patterning, often producing iridescent colors that move across its skin surface.
Audio production and animations are by Sophia Tintori, of Casey Dunn’s Lab at Brown University. Produced with support from the National Science Foundation.
